Recommended reading

Here are a few publications on things masonic recommended by Brethren of The Old Chelmsfordian Lodge:

The Craft - John Hamill. An account of the development of English Freemasonry, from its obscure origins, and including chapters on the Royal Arch and the appendant Degrees.

The Freemasons - Jasper Ridley. An introduction to the history of Freemsonry and the problems it faces  today. Written by a non-Mason.

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Freemasonry - S. Brent Morris. An introduction to the history and practice of Freemasonry. Written by an American, about American Freemasonry, so much of it has no relevance to what happens in England, but a very enjoyable read.

Masonic Etiquette Today - Graham Redmond. Not one for the non-Mason, but a book which should be read by every Mason.
